Submitted symposia

We thank all those who have submitted a symposium for the 8th Congress of the European Union Geriatric Medicine Society. There were a lot of submissions with a high scientific value and it was a difficult task for the scientific committee to select only a few among them. Criteria used in the selection were, among others, a high scientific standard with a topic related to the theme of the congress and generating an actual broad interest among the delegates. First preference was given to symposia with participants from different EUGMS member states, to guarantee the European touch. However, due to limited space in the programme only a few symposia could be withheld.

Although we were very much interested in the contents of several submissions we regret that the scientific committee could not withhold more of them for presentation in the official program. 

However, due to the high scientific value we urge everyone who has submitted a symposium to resubmit the topic as one or more abstracts for presentation at the congress.
